This intensive half day workshop with Caroline Kirrane expands on the past CPD lectures delivered by Caroline to facilitate participants gaining further in-depth knowledge in the three areas of:
- FINANCIAL STATEMENTS – Reading, interpreting and analysing financial statements: fundamentals of accrual accounting, financial analysis tools – common size statements and financial ratios
- CORPORATE FINANCE – Understanding the fundamentals of corporate finance: funding tools – debt and equity), time value of money and project appraisal tools: payback period, Net Present Value (NPV) analysis and Internal Rate of Return (IRR)
- COSTING – Cost analysis – understanding cost behaviour, calculating breakeven point, contribution analysis and maximising operating profit using costing tools.
Caroline Kirrane, CFA, MBA
Caroline has over a decade of experience working in financial markets.
She has an undergraduate degree in European Business and French from Dublin City University. She also holds a first class Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Trinity College Dublin and is a CFA Charterholder.
After completing her undergraduate degree in France, Caroline began her career working in a hedge fund in Paris. She then returned to Dublin, working in US-based proprietary trading firm Susquehanna. She has held positions in Dexia and FinTech start-up Eagle Alpha. She has also worked as an economist with the Central Bank of Ireland, advising senior policy-makers on financial market developments.
