  • Join us on the 29th of August for an evening CPD event on ‘Boundaries Guidance and Case Studies’ in our newly renovated members space in 38 Merrion Square. Within this presentation, our speakers Dr. Paddy Prendergast and Sarah Sherlock will go through everything you need to know about the recent boundaries’ guidance note that was published at the Geospatial Conference and give some practical worked examples.

The event will begin at 5pm sharp and there will be light refreshments and networking afterwards.

Dr. Paddy Prendergast is one of Ireland’s foremost experts on boundaries and legal mapping issues. Paddy previously served as an army officer in Ordnance Survey Ireland throughout the 1980’s and early 1990’s as part of their senior management team and has been actively involved in the development of the surveying profession in Ireland via his participation on the council of the Irish Institution of Surveyors (IIS) from 1992 to 2014. He served as the IIS President from 2000 to 2002 and he also represented Ireland on the European umbrella organisation for national professional associations of Surveyors (CLGE) where he also served as CLGE President from 1998 to 2001.

Paddy was a lecturer in the Technological University of Dublin from 1995 to 2019 where his main academic interests were land registration, land administration systems, spatial data quality, and spatial data infrastructures to underpin coherent land management practices. Paddy now runs his own business – Property Boundaries Ireland Ltd – to apply his knowledge and expertise in this niche area.
