Michael Broderick, CCO, HBFI
Michael Broderick, a former army officer, joined the NTMA in 2006 as a financial analyst with the NDFA, where he worked on a number of PPP infrastructure projects. In early 2011, Michael joined NAMA where he held a number of different roles to include Deputy Head of Residential Delivery. In July 2018, Michael was appointed by the Minister for Finance as Project Lead for HBFI. In April 2019 Michael assumed the role of HBFI Interim CEO and in September 2019 as Chief Commercial Officer. Michael holds an MBA from the UCD Smurfit Business School and is a holder of a Diploma in Company Direction from the IOD.
Donald MacDonald, Director, Hooke and MacDonald
Donald is a multi-disciplined real estate professional with 21 years wide-ranging experience including urban planning, property design & development, capital markets, disposals and property management; real estate lending; financial accounting and auditing. Donald is a member the Hooke & MacDonald team that has advised on over €2.5bn in residential development & investment transactions over the past 6 years and currently manages over 2,500 houses and apartments across the Greater Dublin Area for institutional clients.
Donald is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland, has a Masters in Planning & Development and is an Executive Board member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) in Ireland; an active member of the ULI European Urban Regeneration Council; and is a member of the Planning & Development Committee of Property Industry Ireland (PII).
As a key member of Hooke & MacDonald’s capital markets team, Donald regularly represents the firm at domestic and international real estate events. This, along with Donald’s hands-on day-to-day engagements in sales and management roles and on-going research, assists the firm in keeping fully abreast of market trends and best practices.
David Martin, Head of Debt Advisory, EY
As Head Debt Advisory in EY Ireland, David works with all sectors of business in advising them on their appropriate debt structures. David is passionate about the delivery of long-term value to EY’s clients and building long term relationships with all stakeholders in the business community.
David advises all types of companies in raising the most flexible, appropriate and competitive debt package from a range of Irish & International Banks & Alternative Lenders.
David spent 10 years working as a Senior Lender in Banking where he gained significant lending and restructuring experience leading teams in Business, Property and Corporate lending.
Since leaving Banking in 2014, David has worked for another large auditing firm as a Debt Advisory Director on some of the largest transactions in the Irish Market, in sectors including; large private companies, PLC’s, hospitality and numerous Real Estate Investment and Development Projects.
David had previously trained in EY and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, holds a B.A. in Economics from UCD.
