Join us online on the 6th December for a CPD with the LDA on their recently developed Apartment Typology Booklet which provides design guidance to our design teams on LDA requirements for apartment buildings, to facilitate the efficient delivery of affordable homes. The LDA aims to intelligently utilise standardisation in design and construction to improve quality, reduce cost, increase certainty, and deliver consistency across LDA homes. The presentation will provide an overview of the Apartment Typology Booklet design principles and the rationale. The presenters will discuss how the design principles are key to successful cost management in affordable apartment design, how these design principles augment effective cost control and value management from day 1, at early stage site assessment and feasibility analysis. The presentation will demonstrate how key design metrics can assist in achieving successful delivery of high quality, yet affordable, homes.

Robert is the Development Lead with the Land Development Agency having joined the Agency in May 2019. He has 25 years industry experience across a wide breadth of roles in consulting, construction and development.
Noel Walsh, MSCSI, BSc. Construction Economics and Management, PG Diploma Construction Law and Contract Admin.
Noel is a chartered quantity surveyor with over 20 years’ experience in the industry. He is the Cost Management Lead with the Land Development Agency and has been with the Agency for 3 years.
