Tackling the climate emergency will be a defining challenge of our generation. The construction industry accounts for 40% of carbon emissions globally and has a critical role to play in the transition to a Net Zero carbon economy. Ireland is now on a legally binding path to net-Zero emissions no later than 2050, and to a 51% reduction in emissions by the end of this decade. Addressing the climate crisis requires a long-term commitment to change and practical action, rather than words.
Turner & Townsend are carbon neutral and have set a target to become net zero by 2030. We are supporting our clients across the globe to turn over a new leaf for a greener, sustainable, more inclusive and productive world.

Speaker Bio:
Catriona Riordan is an Associate Director and a Sustainable Procurement Led within Turner & Townsend’s Contract Services team. She has a breadth of knowledge and experience in procurement, design management, commercial management and project management gained over the past 18 years working in the construction and utilities sector in Ireland and the UK. She is an advocate of the role that procurement has to play in supporting organisations to address the biodiversity and climate change crisis.
