Join us online on the 12th September for a CPD on an Introduction to Public Procurement as part of our Procurement series.
Public Procurement can be hard to decipher for construction companies, to create a level playing field for businesses across Europe, EU law sets out minimum harmonised public procurement rules. These rules govern the way public authorities and certain public utility operators purchase goods, works and services. They are transposed into national legislation and apply to tenders whose monetary value exceeds a certain amount.
The session will give an overview of the public procurement landscape, the benefits of tendering, the differences between public and private sector tendering, and cover some of the terminology that tenderers may encounter. Participants should come away feeling informed as to whether public sector tendering is a viable option for their organisation. This session will link to the previous webinar. ‘An Introduction to the New E-Tenders System’.
