    Meet our speakers:

    Katerina Kopecna is Aramark Ireland’s Head of Sustainability and has been a Chartered Surveyor since 2011. With over 15 years as a property manager, she seamlessly transitioned to her true passion—sustainability. Katerina actively ensures sustainability is central to property managers’ agendas and aligns seamlessly with clients’ ESG goals. Katerina played a pivotal role in Aramark Property’s attainment of ISO 14001:2015 for ‘the provision of advisory services, including ESG Compliance requirements and Sustainability Consulting Services.’ As a dedicated support, she facilitates property owner clients in achieving sustainability accreditations like GRESB, BREEAM, LEED, and WELL. Notable successes include achieving BREEAM in Use Very Good for the Chase office building in Sandyford and WELL Gold for 20 Kildare Street, Dublin. Katerina’s expertise continues to drive sustainable excellence within Arakamark properties.

    Gareth Brown is a Chartered Building Surveyor and an active member of the SCSI Sustainability Working Group. Committed to environmental responsibility, Gareth has endorsed the SCSI Surveyors Declaration on Sustainability. As the founder of G. M. Brown Building Surveying, he leads a dynamic consultancy, specializing in innovative building surveying services across the construction and property industry. Gareth is dedicated to ethical business practices and actively encourages clients to adopt sustainable approaches. His commitment to minimising environmental impact sets him apart in the field of building surveying and construction consultancy.

    Chairing the session is Sarah Garry, Associate Director in the Valuations and Advisory team at Cushman and Wakefield Ireland. Notably, she chairs the SCSI’s Surveyors Declare steering group, showcasing her commitment to sustainability in the field. Sarah’s recent achievement includes spearheading the effort to have all members of her company sign up for Surveyors Declare, making them the pioneering company with 100% participation in this impactful initiative.
