Commercial Strategy & Support

• Assist in implementing commercial strategies to meet project goals.
• Support Senior and Managing Quantity Surveyors with:
  • Preparing tenders, evaluating proposals, and finalizing subcontractor agreements.
  • Financial and commercial management of subcontractors, ensuring Final Account resolution.

Documentation & Financial Oversight

• Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
• Conduct and document detailed site measurements.
• Contribute to cost-value reconciliations (CVRs), forecasts, and financial targets.
• Manage valuations and ensure timely submission and agreement of variations.

Team Collaboration & Risk Management

• Collaborate with site management teams to address commercial issues.
• Actively engage in the CVR process, providing independent analysis.
• Identify and mitigate risks while leveraging project opportunities.
• Support cash flow management to ensure strong financial health.

Mentorship & Learning

• Supervise and mentor Assistant and Trainee Quantity Surveyors, ensuring quality and accuracy.
• Develop understanding of Design & Build (D&B) and Contractor Design Portion (CDP) contracts.
• Gain experience in contract law, claims, and dispute resolution.

Client Liaison

• Engage with clients on commercial matters related to the project.
• Promote and protect the company’s commercial and contractual rights.

• Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year as a Quantity Surveyor in a Civils/Construction environment.
• Skills:
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with technology platforms and the Standard Method of Measurement.
  • Effective time management, organization, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated commercial awareness and ownership.
