Why Become an Associate Member?
Being an Associate member strengthens your professional credentials by demonstrating that you meet technical and commercial standards and ethical standards.
Membership also provides opportunities to connect with other high calibre professionals. The designation AssocSCSI AssocRICS is an affiliate membership, and recognised worldwide.
How to Apply
There are two routes to associate membership. Direct entry is available for those holding accredited surveying qualifications. Non-Direct entry is available to those with non-surveying related qualifications.
Direct Entry: Open to all with an accredited surveying qualification
Associate Membership is open to all who hold an accredited surveying related qualification recognised on the National Framework of Qualifications.
To apply for Associate Membership by Direct entry, you must complete and submit the online application form including an uploaded detailed record of CPD completed for the previous calendar year (minimum 20 hours) and an employer declaration. After submitting your online application, you will then be asked to complete an online ethics test.
Click to access the Employer’s Declaration form and the CPD record form.
Non- Direct entry: Open to all with a non-surveying related qualification
Those holding a non-SCSI surveying related qualification will be required to complete an Associate Assessment to qualify for Associate Membership.
What is the Associate Assessment?
The Associate Assessment is comprised of a set list of skills – or competencies – set out according to a candidate’s area of specialism. These are a mixture of interpersonal, business and technical skills. In order to become an Associate, you must demonstrate the competencies for your specialism.
This is done through the submission of documentation (desktop assessment) and the completion of an online Ethics module and test. You must successfully complete both stages in order to be elected as an Associate member.
