Join us on Wednesday 27th May for a CPD on Exempt Developments, this cpd is geared to practitioners to provide an overview of what works you can carry out without planning permission, the limits that matter, and the latest updates shaping exemptions in 2025–2026. The CPD will be chaired by Lisa Rocca from Força Property Advisory and our speakers include Emer O’ Callaghan from the LDA and Brendan Slattery, McCann Fitzgerald .
This one hour cpd will touch on domestic extensions to commercial conversions/change of use, Section 5 declarations, and the seven‑year rule, tips on how to avoid costly mistakes and navigate the system with ease.

Emer O’ Callaghan – LDA
Emer is an experienced Town Planning professional with over 25 years’ experience working across local government, consultancy, and the semi state sector. For the past three and a half years, Emer have served as Planning Lead with the Land Development Agency, where Emer oversees strategic planning, project delivery, and cross government collaboration on major housing and regeneration initiatives. The role focuses on integrating planning, design, and stakeholder engagement to support the creation of high quality, sustainable communities.
Brendan Slattery, McCann Fitzgerald
With almost twenty years’ experience in the areas of environment, planning and climate change, Brendan is recognised as an expert in both planning and environmental law at national and EU level, having advised regulatory authorities, statutory bodies, local authorities and developers on the delivery of a wide range of local and national projects. In recent years, Brendan has advised on almost every significant infrastructure project across Ireland spanning the areas of energy, transport, water, wastewater and the agri-business sector.

Lisa is the Chief Executive of Força Property Advisory supporting clients to achieve planning and development success. Força offers practical planning and development solutions in order to achieve project goals. Lisa has over 30 year property industry experience and exemplary track record. Lisa has previously worked in Oakmount on a wide range of development projects since 2016. Prior to that she worked in the Second Hand Residential and New Homes divisions of Knight Frank from 2014, where she managed and co-ordinated the sales and marketing of some major New Home projects and second hand sales throughout the Dublin area.
