Divisional Director – Valuation & Advisory (Cork)
Job Responsibilities
With five offices in Ireland in Dublin, Galway, and Limerick, and franchise offices in Belfast and Cork, Cushman & Wakefield have a comprehensive understanding of Ireland’s commercial property landscape. We bring together global perspective and deep local expertise to help clients realise the full potential of their real estate. We have the largest Valuation & Advisory team in Ireland, with dedicated Valuation & Advisory team members in each office with experts in particular sectors spread throughout the country. In the Cork office we specialise in a number of sectors including investment, development, living including social and affordable, PRS and PBSA, trading assets and compulsory purchase.
The successful candidate will work closely with Valuation & Advisory team members in Cork and also collaborate with team members in other offices. They will play a key role in securing and undertaking valuations for a wide spectrum of clients including banks, lenders, investors, developers and state and corporate clients across a variety of commercial property types. They will work with existing and new clients and also undertake work in other areas including advisory and consultancy, rating and compulsory purchase.

Main Responsibilities
These include, inter alia, the following:
- Lead and successfully undertake valuation and advisory instructions
- Complete in full Red Book valuations and provide strategic advice for a wide range of property types and clients
- Ensure compliance with RICS Red Book and RICS Valuer Registration standards and internal quality procedures
- Manage a diverse workload including one off valuations and regular fund valuations throughout Cork city and county
- Work with other team members as part of a local and national team to ensure timely and accurate service delivery
- Build strong relationships with a variety of existing and new clients and to promote the Valuation & Advisory team generally
- Support business development initiatives to grow our Valuation & Advisory offering
- Undertake personal developmental to broaden experience and knowledge and contribute to the development of junior team members
- Undertake advisory, consultancy, rating and compulsory purchase instructions
Job Requirements
Due to an increased volume of valuation and advisory work being secured and the need to expand our team generally, we are looking for an experienced valuation surveyor to join our Valuation & Advisory team in Cork who will focus on the preparation of valuations. The role represents an opportunity for an ambitious, reliable and dedicated individual to progress their career in Ireland’s leading commercial real estate services provider.
Qualifications and experience
- RICS Registered Valuer or Chartered Surveyor (MSCSI/MRICS)
- Ideally 5-7+ years post qualification experience
- Track record of delivering robust and comprehensive valuations and reports in accordance with agreed deadlines
- Experience of advisory, consultancy, rating or compulsory purchase order (CPO) work is beneficial
Technical Skills
- Training in Argus Enterprise and Argus Developer essential
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft package including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint essential
- Experience in DCF modelling is an advantage
Soft Skills
- Ability to work as part of a local team in Cork and also as part of the national Valuation & Advisory team
- Strong report writing skills
- Strong communication and client development skills in order to establish and maintain new and existing clients
- Excellent analytical skills with particular attention to detail
- Strong time management skills and an ability to adapt to a diverse workload
