This CPD will include an overview of the law relating to Rent Reviews in Ireland
A review of Section 132 of the Conveyancing Act 2009, its application in the courts and how this is affecting the negotiation of commercial leases on the ground.
Legal Notices – Focusing on the application to the exercise of landlord and tenant entitlements (rent reviews, break options etc) we will look at the do’s and don’ts in the service of legal notices.
Landlord v Tenant Case Study – an insight into the key items a solicitor will look to negotiate into our out of a commercial lease, both from the landlord and tenant perspective.

Speakers Bio’s
Neil Dineen
Neil has over 20 years’ experience in dealing with all aspects of commercial property, to include title review and real estate due diligence in respect of strategic/complex projects. Neil is experienced in strategic or bundled real estate transactions to include leases, property sales and acquisitions. Neil provides advices in relation to existing and proposed real estate ownership matters including registration issues, long-term leases, partnership agreements and co-ownership /co-development agreements. He also provides advice in relation to landlord and tenant matters, registration requirements, impacts in relation to prescriptive easements, rights and actions on a strategic/overall portfolio basis and advices in relation to template documentation.
Paddy Smyth

With over 10 years’ post qualification experience, Paddy is a recognised expert in commercial property secured lending as well as portfolio acquisition and sale transactions.
