Accounts Manager (Dublin)
The Role
BNP Paribas Real Estate are seeking to recruit an Accounts Manager to join our Property Management Business Line. The ideal candidate is a highly confident and motivated professional, with excellent written and oral communications skills and a keen interest in commercial real estate market. Reporting to the Director, Property Management Department, he/she will oversee the accounting services of the Property Management Team ensuring prompt and effective management and support with running of the accounts function for a portfolio of commercial properties under management, including shopping centres, offices, etc.
Key Deliverables
- Processing and attending promptly to Tenant amendments & queries/ credit control;
- Processing creditors invoices for commercial properties under management and processing payments of same in a timely manner;
- Credit control administration for invoices received and issued;
- Reconciling bank accounts & disbursement of client funds and attending to Property Managers and Directors queries on same;
- Managing daily cash book entries, rent transfers, rent & service charge raising;
- Preparing monthly & quarterly client reports;
- Generating annual billing of insurance premiums;
- Completing VAT reports and returns for managed properties;
- Managing and processing the Payroll for any sub contracted employee;
- Accurately processing and assisting as required the accounts payable process;
- Managing service charge audits and liaising with Auditors as appropriate;
- Completing service charge y/e & budget apportionments to audit level;
- Updating property database as appropriate;
- Developing and improving finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures if necessary;
- Establishing and maintaining appropriate internal control safeguards, in liaison with management;
- Preparing Management company accounts and liaising with client accounts departments;
- Reporting to Head Office in Paris on a quarterly basis.
Qualifications
- Part-qualified or fully qualified Accountant
- Degree level qualification
Experience / Skills
- 2 years plus proven experience working in a similar role preferably within a commercial real estate firm
- Strong financial planning & analysis experience
- Strong accounting background (Profit & Loss / Balance Sheet expertise)
- Good knowledge and practice of accounting control rule
- Experience of producing reports and financial statements
- Budget monitoring and costs analysis experience
- Experience with the Property Management Software TRAMPS will be a clear advantage
- Expert use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Proven ability to effectively prioritise work and dealing with high volumes of work;
- Excellent attention to detail
- Capable of working to tight deadlines and under own initiative
- Proven ability of being able to work independently and to show initiative, drive, and integrity, as well as work effectively as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Ability to communicate and integrate effectively at all levels of the organisation
- Willingness to travel internationally on an ad hoc basis
