Job Description
The Role We are looking for a driven and ambitious Investment Surveyor to join our growing Commercial team.
This role will provide an opportunity to progress your career in a supportive, career enhancing environment. The chosen candidate will be involved in Real Estate transactions and asset management throughout Ireland with opportunities to travel to London and Europe to meet international investors.
Reporting to: Director of Capital Markets.
Job Requirements
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Creating robust well considered, accurate valuations and reports.
• Working alongside the Director of Capital Markets with Investment instructions, negotiations, inspections on all types of commercial investment property & land.
• Marketing and selling investment properties and generally promoting the firm.
• Valuation of buildings and land using Argus software and excel.
• Provide detailed financial modelling including cashflow analysis.
• Assisting with written reports and consultancy advice for clients to include lease renewals.
• Liaising with potential investors and clients by actively partaking in business development activities.
• Carry out research and market intelligence activities and contribute to company reports.
• Actively keeping updated and implementing knowledge of market activity.
• Assisting in the acquisition of investment properties and portfolios.
• Understanding team and individual targets and what generates revenue and makes profits.
• Ability to manage a project from start to completion.
• Undertaking personal developmental activities to broaden experience and knowledge, including CPD.
• Liaising with other key departments and promoting all Lisney departments, clients and services.
• Contribute to other colleagues’ development and company initiatives (Surveyor and Graduates).
• Any other responsibilities in line with candidates’ position/level in the organisation.
Qualifications and experience:
• Educated to degree level.
• MSCSI/MRICS qualified.
• 3 to 5 years post qualification (MRICS) with proven experience in a commercial real estate practice.
• RICS Registered Valuer.
• PSRA Licence Holder.
• Trained in Argus Enterprise.
• Proven experience with rent reviews and lease renewal negotiations.
• Proven experience of undertaking Red Book compliant valuations and reports.
• Full clean driving licence.
Soft skills & Technical skills:
• Ability to communicate professionally and integrate effectively at all levels both internal and external.
• Be enthusiastic, driven and professional in your approach to work.
• Possess strong technical skills and be proficient in the use of the Microsoft package including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Argus Enterprise.
• Strong, proven organisational and time management skills with the ability to work accurately and effectively under pressure.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Highly pro-active with ability to work on your own initiative.
