Key Responsibilities: As a Quantity Surveyor at Linesight, your responsibilities will grow with your level of experience and expertise, including but not limited to:

– Client Engagement: Actively engage with clients, demonstrating excellent local knowledge and offering professional advice.

– Tender/Bid Process: Support the tender/bid process, from documentation to analysis, ensuring value for money and strong client outcomes.

– Cost Planning and Estimation: Develop detailed cost plans and estimates for client projects, ensuring accurate budgeting.

– Project Cost Management: Oversee project spending through valuations, cost reporting, and the management of variations, ensuring clear and timely communication with the project team.

– Final Accounts: Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts, ensuring the best value for clients.

– Dispute Resolution: Support the resolution of construction disputes, claims, and expense issues with transparency.

– Leadership and Mentorship: For more senior roles, foster performance growth in your team through mentorship and leadership.

– Business Development: Leverage your business acumen to engage with new clients and foster repeat business with existing ones.

Job Requirements

What We’re Looking For: We are seeking motivated professionals at all stages of their career, from recent graduates to seasoned experts.

The ideal candidate will have some or all of the following:

– For Graduates: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

– A keen interest in construction projects and cost management.

– Strong communication and analytical skills, with a proactive and learning-focused mindset.

– For Experienced Quantity Surveyors: – Candidate is either registered or eligible to be registered under the provisions of the Building Control Act 2007.

– Demonstrable experience in pre- and post-contract cost management.

– Client-facing experience with a proven ability to deliver value on large-scale construction projects.

– Chartered status or equivalent professional recognition (for senior positions).

– Strong leadership skills, with experience mentoring and leading teams (for associate level).

– A business development mindset and the ability to identify and pursue market opportunities.
