Executive – Policy & Research
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Work closely with Committees developing policy positions for the SCSI
- Assist with the development of industry reports through qualitative and quantitative
research - Assist with the development of ‘best practice’ professional guidance and consumer
guides - Preparing online surveys and assisting with the analysis of data to inform policy
papers across a range of policy & professional areas - Working with committee chairs and members to provide project support as required
- Contribute to the delivery of the advocacy & communication programme
- Representing the SCSI at external meetings
- Assist, when needed, with other areas of SCSI services to members
- Providing secretariat support to several Committees

Key Competencies:

• Strong oral and written communications skills
• Excellent self-management and organisational skills
• Excellent research and analytical skills and attention to detail
• Experience using Excel (other statistical packages a plus), PowerPoint, Outlook and Word
Desirable
• A minimum of two years’ experience in research and policy
• Relevant 3rd level qualification
