Job Description
Role Overview:
The Head of Development Operations is responsible for the work and direction of the Development Officers, Administration Team, Onboarding Team, and other support functions (the ‘Development Operations Team’). The post requires excellent planning, organisational and leadership skills as well as good knowledge of all stages of the development process. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential to the role to ensure good interdepartmental reporting and stakeholder management. The Head of Development Operations will be responsible for tracking all CDD’s KPIs, funding, audit performance and programming. The post will work closely with the Head of Delivery and New Business in the implementation and management of the CDD’s work plan, risk register, and any special projects undertaken. The role will assist the Chief Commercial Officer in the implementation of the Supply Strategy, Corporate Strategy, and management of the CDD. A key focus of this role is ensuring compliance with the policies and procedures in place. This will be achieved through internal audit checks, continuous training and improvement and the proper provision of support function resources. The role will focus on research and development in particular on demand data analytics, procurement data, Pamwin & pipeline delivery data. The post should foster a culture of continuous improvement and lean ways of working within the CDD team and broader business.

Education / Qualifications
- Minimum level 8 required in project management/ or similar discipline appropriate to the role – Essential
- Data analytics experience and qualification – Essential
- Programming experience and qualification – Essential
- Knowledge / Skills Knowledge of social & affordable housing delivery processes & funding procedures – Essential
- Stakeholder management experience (both internal within an organisation and external) – Essential
- Experience in developing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to help inform decision making and business strategy – Essential
- Power Bi or similar software package – Essential
- Pamwin – Desirable
- Microsoft Project – Desirable
- Microsoft Excel – Essential
- People management experience – Essential
- Experience of lean methodology project implementation and continuous improvement – Essential
- Lean Six Sigma – Green Belt – Desirable
- Change Management – implementation experience – Desirable
- Report writing and presentation skills – Essential
- Experience 10 years plus experience of managing high performing support function teams – Essential
- 5 years’ experience working in the property/housing/construction sector – Desirable
