The Office of Public Works (OPW) is a key service provider to the Government managing the Government’s estate portfolio, maintaining and presenting Ireland’s built heritage and managing Ireland’s flood risk.
Some of the most recognisable properties in the country are held by the OPW, having one of the largest and most diverse property portfolios. A focus of the OPW is to get value for money while providing accommodation that meets the operational needs of Government managing over 1,700 properties throughout the country.
Reporting to the Head of Portfolio Planning in the Estate Management Division, the Portfolio Planner will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team assisting in the development of plans for portfolio consolidation, rationalisation, modernisation or sharing of buildings and facilities.
Candidates must have:
- A relevant qualification (minimum level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications) in a property-related discipline (such as planning, real estate, surveying, architecture) or other built environment related discipline;
- Experience in property asset management (minimum of 5 years) including experience of property portfolio management practices and procedures;
- Experience of the commercial (office) property market in Ireland.
