Salary: €61,401 – €72,237 + excellent benefits + vehicle
Our purpose is simple, to save lives at sea. Since the 19th century, our crews have been risking their lives to save those who are in danger of drowning. We’re looking for a Regional Estates Manager to join our Irish region, to deliver and maintain buildings that save lives.
Some of the benefits
• Flexible working
• 26 days’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays
• Outstanding pension scheme (contributions of up to 16% of basic salary)
• Life assurance
• Health and dental cash plan
This role is exciting and diverse. One day you will be supporting the delivery of a new Lifeboat Station and the next running a campaign to maintain and service the RNLI’s lifeboat moorings.
Some days you will be office based, using your skills to manage your team and influence the Regional Leadership team’s key decisions about the RNLI’s operational buildings. On others you will be travelling to RNLI sites around the island of Ireland.
For more information and to apply, please visit the RNLI recruitment site.
Closing date: 20 April 2022. Interview date: 4 May 2022.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
You’ll be an effective self-motivated team player, with good communication and influencing skills both internally and externally.
You’ll be familiar with the construction and maintenance of a variety of buildings and ideally have worked with marine infrastructure such as pontoons, moorings and slipways. You will like variety, be capable of making balanced decisions on a range of information and will relish the challenge of resolving technical queries outside of your comfort zone.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone seeking to develop their career, as it will offer you the opportunity to deal with all aspects of estates matters across the whole building life cycle. You’ll be able to handle time dependent demands, so that we can keep our lifesaving assets on service.
You’ll enjoy working on diverse projects with a mix of challenges and able to communicate at all levels. You’ll be happy with travel, occasional nights away. We expect that the role holder will be happy to periodically visit locations including other bases and the RNLI Support Centre in Poole, Dorset with the aim of creating a community of engineering expertise aware of and capable of addressing the RNLIs technical needs now and into the future.
As a Regional Estates Manager, you will have outstanding communication and influencing skills to bring people together behind a single plan. If you want to see how the Regional Estates Manager supports our organisation’s aim to reduce drowning, this could be the role for you! This post requires a valid driving licence.
