Murphy Geospatial / Omega Surveying Services are currently recruiting for a Senior/Associate Building Surveyor. This is a great opportunity for an SCSI/RICS qualified Surveyor with up to 3-5+ years post qualification experience. Practice areas that are expected of the candidate include building surveys for investment transactions and occupation purposes, dilapidations contract administration, refurbishment works, maintenance advice, and some project management work.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking professional and project work for a combination of private investment companies, institutions and corporate clients.
  • Take responsibility for the management of client and project teams to deliver building surveying services profitably and on time.
  • Deliver instructions from inception to completion to meet the instruction objectives in accordance with client requirements.
  • Assist in the management of junior colleagues & graduates and provide support and guidance as necessary.
  • Positively contribute to the department’s business plan and to assist in achieving its objectives.
  • Undertake business development activities to identify and win work for oneself and other team members.
  • Contract Administration.
  • Preparation of schedules of work.
  •  Defect Analysis.
  • Fire Safety Audits and Fire Safety Remediation works.
  • Any other duties as required by the business.

Requirements:

  •  MSCSI/MRICS qualified with post qualification experience.
  • Knowledge of the local and wider property market.
  • Ability to undertake business development activities.
  • Ability to delegate whilst maintaining accountability and ensuring an on-time delivery.
  • Computer literate including Word, Excel and ideally MS Project.
  • Flexibility to travel nationwide as required by our clients.
  • Possess a full clean Irish/EU driving license.
  • The right to work in Ireland.
