You will have the opportunity to become involved in a variety of projects, from major EIA applications to smaller developments, across the renewable energy, minerals, waste management and built environment sectors.

Job Requirements

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]A Planning, Environmental or EIA related degree and either holding a relevant professional qualification or working towards membership (e.g. IEMA, IPI, RTPI);

  • Good knowledge of the Irish Planning system and EIA Regulations, including delivery of projects through the strategic infrastructure development (SID) planning process;
  • Excellent report writing and computing skills, with an understanding of EIA methodologies and experience of reviewing related reports;
  • Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, able to work as part of a team as well as manage internal or external consultants;
  • Ability to manage and deliver multiple projects within deadline and budget constraints.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

You will manage or direct a range of EIA projects and related planning applications, taking them from initial inception through to consent and discharge of planning conditions. The work will involve coordination of a range of in-house and external technical specialists, together with taking the lead on the preparation of a range of high quality technical reports. You’ll have the opportunity to work within an experienced team and be involved in a series of exciting challenges, with one of the leading environmental consultancies in Ireland and the UK, and be given the opportunity to work with the SLR offices across this region. With your knowledge and expertise you’ll become a key part of the team, supporting clients through project delivery by managing both internal and external consultants, ensuring all final reports and documentation are produced to the correct detail and highest quality, so that programmes are delivered to deadlines and within budgets.
