Midland Steel have manufacturing sites in the UK and Ireland and recently opened their state of the art Smart manufacturing facility in Portlaoise enabling supply to mainland Europe.

With significant growth and market awareness, the Group now wants to establish a best of breed Estimating and Quantity Surveying to meet growing market demand.

Reporting to and working with the CEO, the Appointee will lead the establishment of the function within the group taking up the direct reports of Estimators already in the function, in addition to monitoring the commercial performance of live contracts.

Core Responsibilities :

• Integrate a best of class function into our current process stream
• Ensure accurate cost estimates and monitoring/reporting of project expenses
• Assess, negotiate and manage contracts and variations
• Support the development of key project schemes
• Liaise with clients contractors and design teams

• A third level qualification in Quantity Surveying or a construction related degree
• 5+ years’ experience as an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor in the construction field
• Full project lifecycle management experience

• Salary of up to €110,000 + benefits package. Negotiable dependent on skills and experience
