Qualifications:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying
• Membership or eligibility for membership of a recognised professional body (e.g., SCSI, RICS).

Experience:

• Minimum of 5+ years post-qualification experience in Quantity Surveying within the Irish construction industry.
• Proven track record in managing construction projects from inception to completion, including cost planning, tendering, and contract administration.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in preparing Bills of Quantities, cost estimates, and tender documentation. Familiarity with Construction Contracts, Development Agreements and associated forms.
• Ability to manage procurement strategies and ensure compliance with public sector requirements.

Other Competencies:

• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of construction law and contract conditions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of sustainability and green procurement practices.
• Knowledge of ICMS principles and reporting.
• Advanced skills in cost management software (e.g. CostX, One-Click).
• Experience in undertaking energy efficiency and energy upgrade projects.
• Experience in undertaking life cycle and carbon assessments.
