The Office of Public Works manages much of central Government’s property portfolio, providing accommodation to central Government Departments, An Garda Síochána and other State agencies.  It is also the lead agency for Flood Risk Management in Ireland, providing Flood Relief schemes throughout Ireland.

The post of Valuer Grade II is based in the Property Advisory Services section, which provides a range of advisory, valuation and agency services for the management of the property portfolio and the flood relief programme.

Candidates must have:

• a qualification at minimum Level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications in Property Economics, Property Valuation and Management, or Property Studies accredited by the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland or equivalent.
• a minimum of four years’ experience working as a Valuer or in a Commercial Property Agency with experience of lease management and dealing with transactions through to completion of documentation.
• strong negotiating skills as well as analytical and research skills and have a good understanding of all facets of the Irish property market.
