Financial Support Scheme: Shared Investment in Success

DkIT’s School of Engineering, in partnership with the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI), have launched a new Student Financial Support Scheme for the Postgraduate Diploma in Building Surveying.  The scheme centres on a Shared Investment in Success – it allows employers to invest in the development of their employees, who in turn contribute directly to the success and growth of the organisation.   It also facilitates students’ education while simultaneously helping companies secure future talent in the Building Surveying profession

How does it work

DkIT will waive 50% of the fee for this programme for applicants who have secured the support of an SCSI listed Employer. The Employer will cover €2,000 of the fee with the student paying the balance of €500 to register on the programme (less than 10% of the normal fee).

The applicant would need to have the support of the Employer in place by the start of the academic year to avail of the student financial support scheme.

How to apply

Applicants should submit their application to directly to DkIT. All applications are subject to programme entry requirements and applicants who are successful will receive an offer to register on the programme.

Candidates who have received an offer can view a list of supporting employers below. Should the candidate’s employer not be on that list it may be possible for them to be added to the list of supporting employers by liaising with SCSI (ruth@scsi.ie).

*Note: supporting employers are not limited to Building Surveying practices, employers must be based within the Built Environment.*

Candidates who are not currently in employment (or wish to change employer) can also view job opportunities with supporting employers advertised through the SCSI.

Employer Information

The Shared Investment in Success student financial support scheme aims to enable employers to directly contribute to the growth of their team while also securing future talent in the Building Surveying field.

An investment in upskilling not only helps retain employees but leads to improved performance and productivity, fosters a culture of innovation and employee satisfaction, while also nurturing future leaders within an organisation.

Employers who are interested in participating in this scheme, or wish to become approved employers, can contact the SCSI (ruth@scsi.ie) or DkIT (denise.quigley@dkit.ie), as can self-employed candidates.
