Join us on the 13th May for a CPD on Forestry as a Rural Asset – Land Use, Valuation & Investment Potential. This CPD will look at the value of forestry at different stages and understanding the impact of carbon credits, government incentives, and ESG investment trends. This CPD will be of relevance to rural surveyors, valuers, and auctioneers.

Daragh Little is Managing Director in Veon and has worked for 32 years in the forestry sector in Ireland and in that time has developed a wide range of skills and experience within the sector. Daragh has experience in all forestry operations including, planting, reforestation, road construction, forest maintenance and harvesting.
From 2013 to 2019, Daragh was Chairman of the Irish Forestry and Forest Products Association (IFFPA). From 2019 to 2020, Daragh served on the council of Forest Industries Ireland (FII) and chair of the FII group for establishment, management and harvesting. Daragh now works with FII on the Executive Committee providing forestry advice to the executive team within FII.
Daragh has also been a member of the Council for Forest Research and Development (COFORD) Council since 2016 having been appointed by the Minister with responsibility for Forestry in Ireland. During his terms with COFORD, Daragh led a group which produced a report on mixtures in Irish forests – Species Mixtures in Irish Forests. Daragh was part of the Timber Mobilisation Group within COFORD from which several reports have been published notably, the All-Ireland Roundwood Production Forecast 2021-2040, Wood Supply and Demand on the Island of Ireland to 2025 and Mobilising Irelands Forest Resource – Meeting the Challenges.
