Hours: Normal hours of work will be Monday – Friday, 9 am till 5.30 pm.

About the role
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We are seeking a Finance & Operations Manager to join our team and provide strategic leadership to the Society as it seeks to deliver our objectives for the surveying profession. The Finance & Operations Manager will provide strategic business insights and efficient running of financial and operational matters of the organisation. This is also an opportunity to play a proactive role in working with the Senior Management Team as they seek to educate, regulate and advocate for the SCSI membership.
We are looking for a candidate that can lead projects that will improve integration of organisation wide operations and finance through the SCSI’s CRM. In this role, you will develop finance policies that are designed for ease of compliance by non-finance staff and reduce the administrative burden on the experienced Finance team while ensuring internal control rigour using new systems.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
Duties and Responsibilities

- Providing strategic support and identifiable leadership as the ‘go-to’ role for the function, providing financial information and strategic direction towards organisational goals.
- Manage organisational support services such as Finance, HR and Facility Management.
- Line manager for the Finance Team (2).
- Identify and lead projects that support continual improvement of organisational capacity to deliver the SCSI’s strategic plan (e.g. Strategic Plan ‘Roadmap 2024’).
- Produce high-quality financial information including financial management accounts.
- Oversight of payroll process, pension, all financial matters for the company and regulatory responsibilities (Audit, Corporate Governance, CRO and Charity Regulator filings).
- Secretariat for the Finance Committee and other associated Committees.
- Review department business plans and risk register on quarterly basis.
- Other duties as required by the nature of the role or as assigned.

Key Competencies
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Essential
- Qualified Accountant (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA) with 3+ years’ experience in finance role
- Experience with Sage or similar accounting system
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar CRM system
- Strong communication skills, which lead to effective support for internal stakeholders
Preferred
- Previous experience in performance & financial management and operation reporting
- Project Management Skills with track record of leading IT and Accounting integration projects
